(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 18일, 이주배경학생과 학부모의 언어 장벽 해소와 교육 소통권 보장을 위해 다양한 언어 지원 사업을 운영하고 있다고 밝혔다.
인천시교육청에 따르면, 대표 사업으로는 한국어 학급을 운영하는 26개 학교에 도입된‘학교 홈페이지 자동번역 시스템’이며, 학부모가 클릭 한 번으로 자녀가 재학 중인 학교 누리집을 자국어로 열람할 수 있도록 지원해 학교 소식과 공지에 대한 접근성을 높였다.
또, 2019년부터 ‘찾아가는 통역 서비스’를 운영하여, 통역 인력이 직접 학교를 방문해 학생 상담, 학부모 면담, 생활지도 등을 실시간으로 지원하고 있다.
해당 서비스는 중국어, 베트남어, 몽골어, 러시아어 등 22개 언어를 제공하며, 전문 통역지원단이 활동 중이다.
아울러, 교직원을 위한 ‘온라인 다국어 번역 서비스’도 운영 중이다.
교육자료나 가정통신문 번역이 필요한 경우 인천시다문화교육지원센터 누리집에서 신청할 수 있으며, 자동번역 34개 언어, 수동 번역 18개 언어를 지원해 학교 현장의 번역 업무 부담을 줄이고 있다.
인천시교육청 관계자는 “앞으로도 언어 지원 사업으로 이주배경학생과 학부모의 학습권과 소통권을 보장하고, 학교 참여를 확대할 수 있도록 언어 포용 교육 환경을 조성해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

또한, 인천시교육청이 6월부터 12월까지 학교 맞춤형 연수 지원을 위해 ‘찾아가는 중등 수업·평가혁신 연수’를 운영한다고 밝혔다.
인천시교육청에 따르면, 이번 연수는 기존 집합 연수 방식에서 벗어나, 학교가 원하는 주제와 강사를 요청하면 교육청이 직접 해당 학교로 찾아가 진행하는 방식으로 운영된다.
이를 통해 각 학교는 교육과정 재구성, 과정 중심 평가, 학생 참여형 수업 전략 등 학교 특성과 교사 요구에 부합하는 실질적인 연수를 받을 수 있다.
주요 연수 내용은 수업 관찰 및 나눔, AIDT의 이해와 수업 적용, 교과별 학생 주도 수업 사례, 탐구 기반 쓰기 및 평가, 교과 융합 프로젝트, 생성형 AI 활용 수업 설계 방안, 서·논술형 평가 문항 설계, 백워드 설계와 과정중심평가, 성취 평가제의 이해와 실제 등이다.
인천시교육청은 이번 연수로 교사의 수업 설계 역량을 높이고, 학생의 성장과 발달을 지원하는 평가 체계를 마련할 수 있도록 지원할 방침이다.
인천시교육청 관계자는 “미래 사회에 필요한 역량을 기르기 위해 교사의 수업·평가 혁신이 중요하다”며 “현장 중심의 연수를 통해 교사들이 전문성을 바탕으로 학생 중심 수업을 실천할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
