이번 현장 방문은 2025년 행정사무감사 기간에 맞춰 위원회 소관 주요 현안 사업의 진행 상황을 면밀히 파악하고, 향후 의정 활동에 필요한 자료를 확보하기 위해 마련됐다.
가장 먼저 방문한 미디어센터 건립 현장은 경주 화백컨벤션센터(HICO) 부지 안에 들어서고 있으며, 2025 APEC 정상회의의 메인 브리핑룸과 영상·사진 기자실, 인터뷰룸 등 국제행사 지원에 특화된 공간으로 올해 9월 준공될 예정이다.
