세종시,금남면 사랑의 감자 수확

세종시 금남면새마을남녀협의회(회장 이원국·송은순)가 감자 수확 행사를 통해 이웃나눔을 실천하고 있다.

이날 금남면새마을남녀협의회 회원 70여 명은 지난 3월 파종한 감자 2500㎏을 수확했다.

수확한 감자 일부는 지역 경로당과 어려운 이웃에게 전달하고, 나머지는 판매돼 경로잔치와 김장나눔행사 기금으로 사용할 예정이다.

금남면새마을남녀협의회는 매년 직접 재배 및 수확한 감자를 통해 지속적으로 기부 활동을 이어가고 있다.

또한, 금남면새마을남녀협의회는 이달 중으로 논밭 인근에 방치된 농약 빈병과 폐비닐 등 영농폐기물을 수거하며 인근 환경정비를 펼칠 예정이다.

수거한 폐기물은 폐기물업체에 판매한 뒤 수익금 전액을 독거노인 등 취약계층 성금에 보탤 계획이다.

금남면새마을남녀협의회 관계자는 “새마을협의회가 함께 노력한 공동경제활동 수익금으로 더불어 살아가는 이웃의 정을 나눌 수 있어 기쁘다”고 말했다.
