(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천대학교가 20일, 법인 4기 출범을 맞아 교수자의 연구 및 교육활동을 혁신적으로 지원하기 위해, 오는 7월부터 6개월간, ChatGPT Team 등 인공지능 서비스를 활용한 생성형 AI 시범 지원사업을 7월부터 6개월간 추진한다고 밝혔다.
인천대에 따르면, 이번 사업은 교수자의 생성형 AI 활용 기반 조성, 우수 활용 사례 발굴 및 확산, 연구윤리 인식 제고, 연구 생산성 향상을 목표로 기획되었으며, 전임교원 500여 명을 대상으로 ChatGPT Team 등의 라이선스 비용을 지원한다.
생성형 AI 도구는 연구윤리에 심각한 문제를 초래할 수 있다는 우려에도 불구하고 논문작성 보조, 교육자료 개발 등 교수자의 연구 및 교육 역량을 혁신적으로 향상시킬 수 있다는 점에서 주목받고 있다.
이에 대학은 참여 교수들에게 생성형 AI 활용에 필요한 보안 가이드라인과 체크리스트를 함께 배포하고, AI 윤리적 활용을 위한 자료 공유와 보안 교육도 병행하여 AI의 안전하고 올바른 사용을 유도하고자 한다.
또한 2026년 1월에는 생성형 AI 활용 우수사례 공모전을 열어 최우수자와 우수자에게 상금을 수여하고, 우수사례를 배포하여 타 교수자에게 우수한 활용 노하우를 공유․확산할 계획이다.
대학 관계자는 “AI 도구의 무분별한 사용보다는, 책임감 있고 창의적인 활용이 필요한 시점”이라며 “이번 시범 사업을 통해 교수자의 디지털 리터러시가 향상되고, 궁극적으로는 연구 역량 강화로 이어지길 기대한다.”고 밝혔다.
