(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천해양경찰서가 지난 23일 중구 인천항 인근 해상에서 민·관 합동 해상방제훈련을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
인천해경에 따르면, 이번 훈련에는 인천해경과 인천지방해양수산청, 인천해역방어사령부, 해양환경공단, 정유사 등 10개 기관 및 업체에서 인원 150여 명과 선박 18척 등이 동원됐다.
이들은 인천항 인근 해상에서 유조선과 화물선이 충돌해 중질유 100㎘가 유출된 상황을 가정해 훈련에 임했다.
중점 훈련사항은 해양오염 상황접수 및 긴급출동, 사고선박 자체 긴급조치, 파공부위 봉쇄 등 긴급구난, 사고선박 파공탱크 내 유류이적, 유출유 해상방제, 사고선박 예인 등이다.
인천해경은 훈련을 통해 선박 기름유출을 사전에 방지하고 피해를 최소화하기 위한 민·관 합동 대응능력 향상에 중점을 뒀으며, 특히 전 해양오염방제국장 등 퇴직공무원들의 전문성과 풍부한 경험이 깃든 방제기술 컨설팅을 지원받아 내실 있는 훈련을 실시했다.
이광진 서장은 “실제 발생 가능한 사고를 가정해 실전과 같은 훈련을 실시했다”며 “민·관의 신속하고 유기적인 대응체계와 현장 대응역량을 강화해 안전하고 깨끗한 인천바다를 만드는 일에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
