청년 장애인 작가 정안나 씨가 제5회 청년 장애인 작가 그림 공모전에서 대상을 수상하며 전한 소감이다.
스타벅스 코리아(대표 손정현)가 개최한 이번 공모전은 5년간 총 1,559명의 청년 장애인 작가가 참여한 대표적인 문화·사회공헌 프로그램이다.
지난 19일 서울 스타벅스 지원센터에서 열린 시상식에서는 275명 출품작 중 21명이 수상의 영예를 안았다.
올해 대상은 정안나 작가의 ‘어떤 색이나 어떤 모양이나 괜찮아’가 차지했다.
“수박이 바나나와 다르다고 이상하지 않듯, 각자의 색과 맛을 내는 세상이 되길 바란다”는 메시지가 담겼다.
금상에는 ▲안소현 작가 ‘여름맞이 LOVE’, ▲유경룡 작가 ‘다름을 잇고 별빛을 향해 달린다’가 선정됐다.
수상작들은 앞으로 스타벅스 MD 상품과 모바일 카드로 제작돼 커뮤니티 스토어 및 온라인에서 판매, 판매 시 품목당 300원의 기금이 적립돼 장애인 고용 증진과 인식개선 활동에 쓰인다.
스타벅스는 지금까지 14종의 MD·모바일 카드 상품을 통해 장애인 인식개선 기금 마련에 기여해왔다.
스타벅스 청년 장애인 작가 그림 공모전은 2020년 12월 전 세계 최초 포괄적 인테리어 매장인 서울대치과병원점 개점을 계기로 시작됐다.
5년 동안 참여한 작가 수는 누적 1,559명에 달하며, 현재까지 총 105명의 수상자가 나왔다.
이번 수상작 21점은 서울대치과병원 ‘갤러리 치유’를 비롯해 전국 스타벅스 ▲과천DT점 ‘별빛미술관’ ▲종로R점 ▲해운대동백점 ▲춘천구봉산R점 등에서 전시된다.
스타벅스 손정현 대표는 “이번 공모전에서도 청년 장애인 작가들의 열정과 포부가 돋보였다”며 “앞으로도 다양성과 포용의 가치를 실천하는 기업이 되겠다”고 밝혔다.
하트-하트재단 오지철 회장도 “벌써 5회를 맞은 뜻깊은 공모전으로 자리 잡았다”며 “장애인 작가들의 활발한 사회 참여를 응원하겠다”고 전했다.

Organized by Starbucks Korea (CEO Son Jeong-hyun), this contest is a leading cultural and social contribution program that has seen a total of 1,559 young artists with disabilities participate over five years.
At the awards ceremony held on the 19th in Seoul at the Starbucks Support Center, 21 individuals received awards out of 275 submitted works.
This year's grand prize went to artist Jung Anna's 'Any Color, Any Shape is Okay.'
The message conveyed was, "Just as a watermelon isn't strange for being different from a banana, I hope the world becomes a place where each brings its own color and flavor."
Gold prizes were awarded to Artist Ahn So-hyun's 'Summer LOVE' and Artist Yoo Kyeong-ryong's 'Connecting Differences and Running Towards Starlight.'
Impact Beyond Art: Promoting Awareness and Employment
The award-winning artworks will be produced as Starbucks MD products and mobile cards, sold in community stores and online. For each item sold, 300 won will be accumulated as a fund to be used for promoting employment and improving awareness for people with disabilities.
To date, Starbucks has contributed to raising funds for disability awareness through 14 types of MD and mobile card products.
The Starbucks Youth with Disabilities Art Contest began in December 2020 with the opening of the Seoul National University Dental Hospital branch, the world's first comprehensively inclusive interior store.
The cumulative number of participating artists over five years has reached 1,559, with a total of 105 award winners to date.
The 21 winning artworks from this year's contest will be exhibited at various Starbucks locations, including 'Gallery Chiyu' at Seoul National University Dental Hospital, as well as Gwacheon DT Branch 'Starlight Art Museum', Jongno R Branch, Haeundae Dongbaek Branch, and Chuncheon Gubongsan R Branch nationwide.
