대전시의회 복지환경위원회와 장애인사회참여증진특별위원회 공무국외출장 대표단은 27일 라오스 교육체육부와 고위급 간담회를 갖고, 양국 간 교육 분야 협력 확대 방안에 대해 폭넓은 의견을 교환했다.
이번 간담회에는 이효성 복지환경위원장을 비롯해 황경아 장애인사회참여증진특별위원장, 이한영·이재경 의원(복지환경위원회), 김민숙 의원(교육위원회)이 참석했으며, 대덕대학교 산학협력단 김일진 단장과 인용준 부단장, 대전장애인정보화협회 정윤호 회장도 민관 협력의 일환으로 함께 자리했다.
양측은 이날 직업교육과 정보화, 특수교육 분야를 중심으로 대전시의 우수 정책과 사례를 공유하고, 라오스 현지의 교육 수요에 맞춘 실무형 프로그램 도입 가능성을 집중적으로 논의했다.
특히 대전의 산학연 협력 기반 교육모델이 라오스 청년층의 실질적 역량 강화에 기여할 수 있다는 데 의견을 같이하며, 향후 정책적 교류 기반을 마련하는 데 공감대를 형성했다.
정책 기반의 국제적 연대를 위한 정례 교류 및 업무협약(MOU) 체결 가능성도 논의됐다. 이재경 의원은 “현장 중심의 정책 교류가 제도적 협력으로 이어지도록 실질적 연계 방안을 모색하겠다”고 말했다.
이어 이한영 의원은 "정보 격차 해소와 실무형 인재 양성은 국제사회의 공동 과제로, 이번 교류가 지속적 교육 연대의 출발점이 되길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
김민숙 의원은 대전시의 교육 역량을 강조하며 "대전은 직업·특수·평생교육 분야에서 높은 역량을 보유한 도시”라며, “향후 공동 사업과 실무 협의, MOU 체결 등 구체적 협력체계를 적극 추진하겠다”고 의지를 밝혔다.
한편, 대전시의회는 이번 라오스 방문을 계기로 루앙프라방 주정부 및 현지 교육기관과의 후속 논의도 이어가며, 대전형 교육모델의 국제 확산과 지속 가능한 교육 파트너십 구축에 속도를 낼 방침이다.
