[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 지난 27일 오후 3시 김해중소기업비즈니스센터 대회의실에서 2025년 탄소중립 사업 담당 공무원 역량강화 교육을 실시했다고 30일 밝혔다.
이번 교육은 탄소중립기본법 제12조에 따라 수립한 ‘제1차 김해시 탄소중립 녹색성장 기본계획(2025~2034년)’의 실질적 추진 주체인 세부 사업 담당 공무원 80여명을 대상으로 기후위기 대응과 탄소중립 정책 이해도를 높이고 실무 역량을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.
교육 1부는 연세대 지구시스템과학연구소 한창희 박사가 빙하코어로 들여다 본 지구의 과거와 미래라는 주제로 극지 탐험 여정과 첨단 기술, 빙하코어 분석을 통해 밝혀진 과거 기온, 탄소중립 목표 달성을 위한 우리의 노력 방법에 대해 강의해 관심을 집중시켰다.
2부는 한국환경공단 지자체탄소중립지원부 전영록 과장이 탄소중립 기본계획과 관련하여 수립 개요, 온실가스 배출량 분석, 주요 감축 대책, 추진상황 점검 방법에 대해 교육해 업무 능력을 향상시켰다.
기후대응과 관계자는 “탄소중립 사회로의 이행은 기후 위기 시대를 살고 있는 우리 사회의 최우선적인 과제이며 시정 전반 모든 분야에서 노력해야 한다”며 “2030년 온실가스 감축 목표 달성과 적극적인 탄소중립 이행을 위해 정기적으로 담당 공무원 역량 강화 교육을 실시하겠다”고 말했다.
