동국대 WISE캠퍼스, 관광 아이디어 공모전 ‘우수상’ 수상

이번 공모전은 ‘관광을 통한 사회적 가치 창출 방안’을 주제로, 관광의 공익적 역할과 창의적 실천 방안을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다. 동국대에서는 관광동아리 청바지팀 소속 최형규, 안석민, 이주현, 이수인 학생이 ‘TOURGETHER: 모두를 위한 관광’이라는 아이디어를 출품해 높은 평가를 받았다.

청바지팀은 관광 약자도 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 무장애 관광 콘텐츠 개발과 포용적 관광 활성화 방안을 제시해, 아이디어의 창의성과 실현 가능성에서 좋은 평가를 얻었다. 특히 실무 중심의 전공 교육과 학생들의 팀워크, 문제 해결 역량이 결합된 결과로, 관광산업의 사회적 가치 확대에 기여할 수 있는 사례로 주목받았다.

학생들을 지도한 김남현 교수는 “학생들이 관광의 사회적 역할을 충분히 이해하고, 현장 적용이 가능한 아이디어를 도출한 점에서 더욱 의미 있는 수상”이라며 “앞으로도 지속가능한 관광을 이끄는 훌륭한 인재로 성장할 수 있을 것”이라고 소감을 밝혔다.

Dongguk University WISE Campus Wins ‘Excellence Award’ in Tourism Idea Contest

Students majoring in Hotel and Tourism Management at Dongguk University WISE Campus won the Excellence Award at the GKL Social Contribution Foundation-hosted University Student Idea Contest, a side event of the ‘98th Korea Tourism Association Gyeongbuk Gyeongju International Academic Conference’ held at the Gyeongju Komodo Hotel on June 26.

This contest was organized under the theme of ‘Social Value Creation through Tourism’ to explore tourism’s public role and creative implementation methods. At Dongguk University, Choi Hyeong-gyu, Ahn Seok-min, Lee Joo-hyun, and Lee Su-in, students of the tourism club Blue Jeans Team, submitted the idea titled ‘TOURGETHER: Tourism for All’ and received high praise.

The Blue Jeans Team received high praise for the creativity and feasibility of their ideas by suggesting barrier-free tourism content that is easily accessible to the tourism disadvantaged and ways to promote inclusive tourism. In particular, it received attention as a case that can contribute to expanding the social value of the tourism industry as a result of combining practical specialized education with students’ teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Professor Kim Nam-hyun, who guided the students, said, “This award is even more meaningful because the students fully understood the social role of tourism and came up with ideas that can be applied in the field,” and added, “I believe that they will be able to grow into excellent talents who will lead sustainable tourism in the future.”
