[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 장기요양서비스의 질 향상과 기관 전문성 강화를 위해 장기요양기관 지정갱신제 심사를 본격 추진한다고 2일 밝혔다.
이번 심사는 오는 12월 11일 지정 유효기간이 만료되는 장기요양기관 138개소를 대상으로 오는 9월 12일까지 갱신 신청을 완료해야 한다.
지정갱신제는 지난 2019년 개정된 노인장기요양보험법에 따라 도입된 제도로 지정 유효기간은 6년이며 갱신 심사를 반드시 거쳐야 한다.
심사기준은 서비스 제공 능력, 계획의 충실성, 자원·인력 관리의 적절성 등으로 진주시 지정 심사위원회를 통해 평가된다.
진주시는 제도 시행 초기 혼선을 방지하기 위해 지난 6월 13일 기관 관계자들을 대상으로 설명회를 개최해 심사 기준을 안내했다.
시는 관련 규칙도 개정해 제도 운영 기반을 마련했으며 공정하고 체계적인 심사를 통해 제도의 안착을 도모하고 있다.
진주시 관계자는 “이번 갱신제도를 통해 요양기관의 질을 높이고 전문성을 강화하는 계기가 되길 기대한다”고 말했다.
한편 진주시는 265개 장기요양기관에서 7000여 명의 종사자가 8200여 명의 노인들에게 요양서비스를 제공하고 있다.
