더불어민주당 황희 의원(서울 양천갑, 국회 국방위원회)은 3 일, “국회 본회의에서, 「 군급식기본법안 」 (황희의원 대표발의 대안 반영)이 여야 합의로 통과했다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 황희 의원이 발의한 원안에는 군급식의 균형잡힌 영양과 맛을 안정적으로 운영 · 관리하기 위하여 급식 전문 인력인 영양사와 조리사의 배치 의무화 규정이 있었으나, 법안 심의 과정에서 국방부의 반대 의견 등으로 삭제된 것으로 알려졌다.
