[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 3일 시청 기업인의 방에서 하반기 신규 개소 예정인 다함께돌봄센터 3곳의 수탁운영 기관에 위탁계약증서를 전달하고 본격적인 돌봄 서비스 확대에 나선다고 밝혔다.
이번에 위탁계약증서를 받은 기관은 피에르테 다함께돌봄센터, 진주의봄 다함께돌봄센터, 진주초전팽이 다함께돌봄센터 등 3곳이다.
돌봄센터들은 지난 4~5월 공개모집과 선정심사를 통해 운영 경험과 전문성, 공신력을 두루 갖춘 법인으로 선정됐으며, 지역 내 돌봄서비스 강화를 위한 기반을 갖추게 됐다.
센터들은 오는 7~8월 중 리모델링 설계 및 공사, 기자재 구입 등을 완료 후 오는 9~10월 중 개소할 예정이며, 돌봄이 필요한 초등학생에게 체계적인 서비스를 제공 할 예정이다.
시는 지난 2019년부터 다함께돌봄센터를 단계적으로 설치해 현재까지 9개소를 운영 중이며, 이번 3개소가 추가되면 총 12개소로 확대돼 돌봄 인프라가 한층 강화될 전망이다.
조규일 진주시장은 “아이들이 믿고 맡길 수 있는 돌봄환경을 조성하는 것은 지역사회의 중요한 과제다”며 “수탁기관과 협력해 질 높은 서비스를 제공하겠다”고 말했다.
