[브레이크뉴스=박찬호 기자] 경남도의회는 건설소방위원회 소속 의원들이 인공지능(AI) 시대에 발맞춰 의정 활동의 혁신과 역량 강화를 위한 '지방의회 직무교육'을 이수했다고 3일 밝혔다. 

이번 교육은 한국산업기술원 지방자치연구소 주관으로 지난 2일부터 4일까지 제주에서 진행되었다.

이번 직무교육을 통해 도의원들은 지역별 현안 분석, 행정사무감사, 예산 심의, 조례 입안 등 의정 활동에 ChatGPT와 같은 AI를 활용하는 방법을 학습했다. 

또한 의회 안팎에서 발생하는 다양한 갈등을 원만하게 해결할 수 있는 의사소통 기술을 습득하는 데 집중했다. 최신 정책 개발 연구 경향과 변화를 확인하고, 향후 의원 연구 단체를 통한 입법 및 정책 개발 활동 활성화 방안을 모색하는 시간도 가졌다.
