오성환 당진시장이 지난 5일 유흥식 추기경을 만나 2027년 천주교 세계청년대회 기간 중 레오 14세 교황의 당진 솔뫼성지 방문을 공식 요청했다. 이번 만남은 김대건 신부 축일(7월 5일)을 기념해 유흥식 추기경이 김대건 신부의 탄생지인 솔뫼성지에서 미사를 집전하는 자리에서 이루어졌다.
