이번 협약은 2026년 시행 예정인 '가족돌봄 등 위기아동·청년 지원에 관한 법률'에 앞서 도내 가족돌봄아동을 조기에 발굴하고 건강한 성장을 돕기 위해 마련됐다.

이번 협약은 교육복지안전망 '꿈꾸는 아이, 희망 지원 네트워크'의 일환으로 추진된다. 협약에 따라 4개 기관은 가족돌봄아동 사례 발굴, 맞춤형 지원 및 서비스 연계 등 통합사례관리를 공동으로 진행한다. 

초록우산어린이재단은 사업에 필요한 후원금을 지원하며, 각 기관은 지역사회 협력 체계를 바탕으로 아동의 돌봄 부담을 줄이고 더 나은 환경에서 성장할 수 있도록 지원할 계획이다.
