세종시의회는 10일 제주도의회 방문단을 맞고 차담을 마련했다.
이번 만남은 지난 3월 세종시의회가 제주도의회를 방문한 것에 대한 답방으로, 양 의회 간 우호 증진과 정책 교류를 위해 마련됐다.
차담은 세종시의회 의장실에서 진행됐으며, 세종시의회에서는 임채성 의장을 비롯해 김현미 행정복지위원장, 김충식 의원, 여미전 의원, 홍나영 의원, 이현정 의원이, 제주도의회에서는 박호형 행정자치위원장과 하성용 의원이 참석했다.
이 자리에서 임채성 의장은 “특별한 두 의회 간의 꾸준한 교류는 각 지역의 강점과 발전 사례를 공유하고, 새로운 시각을 더하는 데 실질적인 도움이 되고 있다”며, “앞으로도 제주도의회와 함께 특별자치시·도의 발전과 자치분권 실현을 위해 지속적으로 힘을 모으겠다”고 말했다
차담에서는 양 의회 간 교류 확대, 정책 경험 공유, 정례적 소통 방식 등에 대한 의견이 오갔으며, 관계 발전의 필요성에 대한 공감이 이어졌다.
김현미 행정복지위원장은 “그동안 여러 차례 교류를 이어오며 양 의회 간 신뢰가 자연스럽게 쌓였다”며 “앞으로도 지속적인 연대와 협력을 통해 실질적인 성과를 이뤄낼 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
박호형 제주도의회 행정자치위원장은 “세종시의회를 다시 찾아뵙게 되어 반갑고 뜻깊다“며 ”비슷한 제도적 기반 위에 서 있는 두 의회가, 그동안 쌓아온 신뢰를 바탕으로 의정활동의 경험과 성과를 함께 나누며, 앞으로도 긴밀히 협력해 나가길 바란다”고 했다.
