세종시가 오는 14일부터 내달 14일까지 한 달간 농업인 수당 신청을 받는다.
신청은 해당 농지 소재지의 읍·면사무소에서 진행된다. 이번 농업인 수당은 농업인의 소득 안정을 도모하고, 농업과 농촌이 지니는 공익적 가치를 유지·증진하기 위한 취지로 마련됐다.
올해 지원금은 가구당 연 1회, 60만 원으로, 세종시 지역화폐인 ‘여민전’ 카드로 지급된다. 지원 대상은 2022년 1월 1일부터 신청일까지 세종시에 주소를 두고 실제 거주하면서 농업경영정보를 등록한 농업인으로, 지난해 기본형 공익직불금을 받은 농가다.
단, 직불금 등 보조금을 부정 수급했거나 농지법을 위반한 경우, 지방세 또는 세외수입 체납자는 지원 대상에서 제외된다.
신청이 접수되면 요건 충족 여부를 검증한 뒤, 기준을 충족한 농가에 대해 즉시 또는 순차적으로 수당이 지급될 예정이다. 지급받은 수당은 세종시 내 지역화폐 가맹점에서 2026년 12월 31일까지 사용할 수 있다.
세종시는 지난해에도 6117가구에 60만 원씩 총 36억여 원을 지급한 바 있다.
세종시는 2023년 전국 특·광역시 중 최초로 농업인 수당을 도입해 농가 경영 안정과 지역경제 활성화에 기여해왔다.
