(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 오는 7월 15일부터 7월 17일까지 3일간 부산 벡스코에서 열리는 ‘2025 월드 스마트시티 엑스포(WSCE 2025)’에 참가해, 인천홍보관을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 국토교통부와 과학기술정보통신부가 공동 주최하는 이번 엑스포는 매년 열리는 아시아 최대 스마트시티 전시회로, 올해는 ‘Next City for All’이라는 슬로건 아래 개최된다.
전 세계 스마트도시 분야의 정부, 기업, 전문가 등이 한자리에 모여 미래 스마트도시의 방향성과 최신 기술 트렌드를 공유하는 자리이며, 행사는 개막식, 콘퍼런스, 비즈니스 프로그램, 최신 기술 설루션(solution) 체험 공간 등으로 구성된다.

또한, 스마트 버스쉘터, 페트병 회수 로봇, 인공지능(AI) 헬스케어 설루션(solution), 3차원(3D) 에너지 분석 플랫폼 등 인천의 우수 스마트 기술과 제품도 함께 소개되어 관람객들에게 다양한 볼거리와 체험 기회를 제공할 예정이다.
김용태 인천시 도시관리과장은 “이번 엑스포는 인천시가 추진하고 있는 스마트도시 사업과 기술을 국내외에 널리 알릴 수 있는 좋은 기회가 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 지속가능하고 글로벌 경쟁력을 갖춘 스마트도시를 조성하기 위해 다양한 정책을 추진해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
