소리꾼 박인혜, 대전에서 '흥보가' 선보인다

전통 판소리의 진수를 동시대 감각으로 풀어내는 공연이 대전 무대에 오른다. 대전시립연정국악원과 TJB대전방송이 공동 기획한 전통 시리즈 '소리꾼×아티스트 판소리 다섯마당'의 세 번째 무대가 오는 7월 24일(목) 오후 7시 30분, 국악원 작은마당에서 열린다. 이번 공연의 주인공은 국내외 무대에서 활약 중인 소리꾼 박인혜다.

박인혜는 12세의 이른 나이에 국가무형문화재 제5호 판소리 '심청가' 보유자였던 고(故) 성창순 명창 문하에서 소리 수업을 시작하며 전통예술의 길에 들어섰다. 이후 '춘향가', '흥보가' 등의 작품을 사사했고, '적벽가'는 한승석 명창으로부터 전수받으며 다양한 소리의 결을 익혔다. 그는 중앙대학교 국악대학과 한국예술종합학교 전문사 과정을 거쳐, 고려대학교 국어국문학과에서 박사학위를 취득함으로써 학문과 예술 양 측면에서 깊이를 더해왔다.

전통 판소리에 뿌리를 두되 창극, 뮤지컬, 연극 등 다양한 장르를 넘나들며 새로운 무대 언어를 구축해온 그는 리투아니아 국제연극제 그랑프리, 이데일리 문화대상 전통 부문 최우수작품상 등 국내외에서 다수의 수상 경력을 쌓았다. 

2021년에는 연출가로도 데뷔해 ‘오늘의 젊은 예술가상’을 수상했고, 백상예술대상 젊은연극상 후보에도 이름을 올리며 무대 예술 전반에 걸쳐 입지를 다졌다. 현재는 판소리 기반 창작 집단 '판소리아지트 놀애박스' 대표로 활동하고 있다.

이번 무대에서는 동편제의 계보를 잇는 박녹주제 <흥보가>를 선보인다. 송만갑-김정문-박녹주로 이어진 전통 소리의 맥을 계승한 이 작품은 간결하고 정제된 사설과 묵직한 성음이 돋보이는 작품이다. 특히 ‘놀보 박 타는 대목’을 생략하는 독특한 구성으로도 잘 알려져 있다. 주요 눈대목으로는 ‘제비노정기’, ‘세 박 타령’ 등이 무대에 올라 흥보의 역경, 제비의 여정, 민속적 정서가 한데 어우러진다.

고수는 국가무형문화재 남해안별신굿 이수자인 황민영이 맡아 소리의 깊이를 더하고, 사회는 목원대학교 교수이자 한국공연문화학회 회장인 최혜진이 진행을 맡아 관객의 이해를 도울 예정이다.

This stage will present Park Nok-ju’s <Heungboga>, which continues the lineage of Dongpyeonje. This work, which inherits the tradition of traditional songs passed down from Song Man-gap, Kim Jeong-moon, and Park Nok-ju, stands out for its concise and refined narration and deep vocals. It is especially well known for its unique composition that omits the ‘Nolbo Park Ta-dae-myeon’. The main highlights include ‘Jebinojeonggi’ and ‘Sebak Taryeong’, which will be performed on stage to blend Heungbo’s adversity, the swallow’s journey, and folk sentiments.

Hwang Min-young, a holder of the National Intangible Cultural Property Namhaean Byeolsingut, will be the drummer, adding depth to the sound, and Choi Hye-jin, a professor at Mokwon University and president of the Korean Society of Performing Arts, will be the emcee to help the audience understand.
