브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 우상호 정무수석은 16일 초대 내각 장관 후보자 인사청문회와 관련 "일부 후보자에 대한 여론 동향이 굉장히 안 좋게 흘러가는 것에 대해 알고 있다"면서 이를 이재명 대통령에게 보고하고 있다고 밝혔다.
우상호 수석은 이날 유튜브 채널 '오마이TV'와의 인터뷰에서 "상황들을 여러가지 종합적으로 보고 있다"며 이같이 말했다.
우 수석은 대통령실 정무수석실이 가동 중인 인사청문 태스크포스(TF)에 대해 "TF라 하지만 사실 상황실 성격이 강하다"면서 "각 언론이나 사회단체가 장관 후보자에게 제기한 문제 내용을 수집하고, 장관 후보자 측 해명 내용을 정리해서 대통령에게 서면으로 보고하는 역할을 한다"고 설명했다.
이어 그는 "가능한 한 대통령이 지명한 후보자가 이상 없이 장관으로 지명되는 것을 목표로 하고 있지만 여러 가지 동향과 각 후보자에게 제기된 여러 의혹들이 해명 가능한 것인지는 유심히 살펴보고 있다"고 했다.
한편, 여론 동향이 안 좋은 장관 후보자들의 인사청문회 내용을 보고받은 이재명 대통령은 특별한 언급을 하지는 않는다고 했다. 우상호 수석은 "(이재명 대통령은) 아직까지 특별한 지시는 없었다. 보고만 받고 있다"고 말했다.
