함안박물관 ‘아라홍련’ 생태·예술 전문가의 시선으로 재조명

[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 함안박물관의 아라홍련 시배지가 한국야생조류보호협회 윤순영 이사장의 시선으로 재조명됐다.

윤 이사장은 지난달 28일부터 새벽 시간에 함안박물관 인근 시배지를 방문해 아라홍련의 개화 과정을 생태적·예술적으로 기록하고, 해당 사진과 소감을 담은 칼럼을 지난 15일 ‘애니멀피플’(한겨레)에 게재했다.

이번 촬영은 함안박물관의 협조하에 진행됐으며 박물관은 이른 새벽 시배지를 개방해 재배 방법을 설명하고, 아라홍련의 정확한 역사적 배경과 명칭 사용에 대한 안내를 제공하는 등 적극 지원했다.

칼럼에서는 700년 전 고려시대 연꽃 씨앗에서 발아된 아라홍련의 고유성과 자연스러운 자태가 다채로운 사진과 함께 소개됐으며 함안박물관 시배지의 생태적 가치 또한 높이 조명됐다.

조근제 함안군수는 “이와 같은 민간 전문가의 생태적 접근과 예술적 기록은 아라홍련의 아름다움을 대중에게 더욱 널리 알리는 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
