이번 사업은 ‘에너지 빈곤층 없는 지역 만들기’를 목표로, 단열 보강과 창호 시공, 노후 보일러 교체 등 취약계층의 에너지 사용 환경을 실질적으로 개선하고, 기후변화 대응을 위한 에너지 절약 실천을 유도하기 위해 마련됐다. 한수원은 이 사업을 한국에너지재단, 한국에너지기술연구원과 협업해 2023년부터 추진하고 있다.
올해는 총 20억 원의 예산이 투입되며, 세대당 최대 900만 원(정부 지원금 300만 원 포함)의 지원이 제공된다. 한수원은 이번 공모를 통해 전국 13개 지역 283가구와 복지시설 10개소를 대상으로 에너지 효율 개선을 지원할 계획이다.
‘e-안심하우스’는 지난 2년 동안 32억 5천만 원의 예산을 투입해 총 562가구와 14개 복지시설의 에너지 환경을 개선해왔다. 최근에는 준공 가구를 대상으로 실시한 정밀 진단 결과, 사업 시행 전과 비교해 약 4억 6천만 원의 에너지 비용이 절감된 것으로 나타나, 사업 효과가 입증되기도 했다.

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Launches ‘2025 e-Safe House’ Competition for Energy Vulnerable Groups
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (President Hwang Joo-ho, hereinafter referred to as KHNP) has launched a competition for the ‘2025 e-Safe House’ energy efficiency improvement project to improve the living environment and expand energy welfare for energy-vulnerable groups in areas surrounding power plants.
This project aims to ‘create a region without energy poverty’ and was prepared to substantially improve the energy usage environment of vulnerable groups through insulation reinforcement, window construction, and replacement of old boilers, and to encourage energy conservation practices to respond to climate change. KHNP is promoting this project in collaboration with the Korea Energy Foundation and the Korea Institute of Energy Research from 2023.
This year, a total budget of 2 billion won will be invested, and up to 9 million won (including 3 million won in government subsidies) will be provided per household. Through this competition, KHNP plans to support energy efficiency improvement for 283 households and 10 welfare facilities in 13 regions nationwide.
‘e-Safe House’ has invested a budget of 3.25 billion won over the past two years to improve the energy environment of a total of 562 households and 14 welfare facilities. Recently, the results of a detailed diagnosis conducted on completed households showed that energy costs were reduced by approximately 460 million won compared to before the project was implemented, proving the effectiveness of the project.
