최민호 세종시장이 최근 이어지는 폭염과 집중호우에 따른 시민안전 대책 마련을 지시하며, 특히 야외활동자와 취약계층 보호를 위한 적극적인 행정을 주문했다.
최 시장은 22일 간부회의에서 “장마가 소강상태에 접어들며 무덥고 습한 날씨가 이어지고 있다”며 “이 시기에 온열질환 발생 우려가 높은 만큼 모든 취약계층과 근로자들의 건강안전에 각별히 유의할 것”을 당부했다.
그는 특히 뜨거운 날씨에 장시간 노출될 수밖에 없는 농민, 고령층, 건설현장 근로자 등을 언급하며, 경로당과 사업장, 읍면동 행정복지센터 등 지역 현장 단위에서 온열질환 발생 가능성에 선제적으로 대응할 것을 강조했다.
