【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=경주시(시장 주낙영)는 25일 관내 유일의 산후조리기관인 맘존산후조리원이 리모델링을 마치고 새롭게 문을 연 것을 기념해 제막식을 열었다.

이날 행사에는 주낙영 경주시장을 비롯해 임활 경주시의회 부의장, 김용탁 맘존여성병원장, 이정일 맘존산후조리원장 등 관계자 10여 명이 참석한 가운데, 경과보고와 제막 퍼포먼스, 주요 시설 라운딩 등이 진행됐다.
2007년 개원한 맘존산후조리원은 지역 내 유일의 산후조리시설로, 산모와 신생아의 건강 회복을 위한 보건 인프라로서 그동안 큰 역할을 해왔다. 이번 리모델링은 시설 전반의 환경 개선과 함께, 보다 현대적이고 안락한 공간으로 거듭나며 산모들에게 한층 더 향상된 서비스를 제공할 수 있게 됐다.
경주시는 이번 시설 개선을 위해 총 1억7천만 원의 예산을 투입했으며, 조리실 내부 리뉴얼뿐만 아니라 방염 도어·커튼 등 안전설비 보강에도 중점을 뒀다. 이를 통해 산모와 신생아 모두가 더욱 안전하고 쾌적한 환경에서 머물 수 있도록 했다.
이정일 조리원장은 “아이 낳기 좋은 도시를 위한 경주시의 지속적인 관심과 지원에 감사드린다”며, “앞으로도 산모와 아기를 위한 최상의 돌봄 서비스를 제공하기 위해 더욱 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 맘존산후조리원은 리모델링을 기념해 오는 9월부터 10월까지 경주시민 산모를 대상으로 조리비용 10% 할인 혜택을 제공할 예정이다.
주낙영 시장은 “이번 리모델링을 통해 산모와 신생아에게 더욱 안전하고 편안한 조리 환경을 제공할 수 있게 되어 기쁘다”며, “앞으로도 출산친화적 인프라 구축에 최선을 다해 아이 키우기 좋은 도시를 만들어 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
