영덕군이 내년도 정부에 건의한 국비 사업은 총 77건, 8,157억 원 규모에 달하며, 이 가운데 신규 사업은 43건 3,887억 원에 이른다.
김 군수는 이날 기재부 주요 관계자들과 면담을 갖고 △천전지구 풍수해생활권 종합 정비사업(335억 원) △영덕정수장 개선사업(444억 원) △소규모 하수처리시설 분류식화 사업(270억 원) △남정 공공하수처리시설 증설사업(123억 원) △노후 하수관로 정비사업(217억 원) △동해안 내셔널 트레일 조성사업(190억 원) 등 지역민의 안전과 환경 개선, 관광 활성화를 위한 핵심 사업들을 집중 설명하며 국비 반영의 필요성을 적극 호소했다.
특히 지난 3월 말 발생한 대형 산불로 인해 큰 피해를 입은 지역 주민들의 일상 회복과 침체된 관광산업 재건을 위한 정부의 적극적인 지원도 요청했다.
김광열 군수는 “기획재정부와의 긴밀한 협력 체계를 바탕으로 지역 발전에 꼭 필요한 사업들이 정부 예산안에 반영될 수 있도록 모든 역량을 집중하고 있다”며 “특히 국회 예산결산특별위원회 간사로 활동 중인 박형수 국회의원과의 협력을 통해 국비 확보에 총력을 다하겠다”고 강조했다.
