브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 1일 김건희 특별검사(특검)팀이 출석 요구에 응하지 않은 윤석열 전 대통령 체포영장 집행에 나섰지만 실패했다.
김건희 특검팀(특별검사 민중기)은 이날 오전 9시경 윤 전 대통령이 수용돼 있는 서울구치소를 찾아 체포영장 집행을 시도했다.
하지만 윤 전 대통령이 체포를 강하게 거부했고, 2시간에 가까운 대치 끝에 결국 특검팀은 10시52분경 빈손으로 서울구치소를 빠져나왔다.
특검은 이후 입장문을 통해 "윤석열 전 대통령에 대한 체포영장 집행은 당사자의 완강한 거부로 완료되지 못했다"고 전했다.
한편 윤 전 대통령은 공직선거법 위반 등의 혐의와 관련, 특검 사무실에 나와 조사받으라고 두 차례 통보받았다. 하지만 불출석 사유서도 내지 않은 채 예정된 조사일에 나오지 않았고, 특검은 출석 불응 의사가 확인됐다고 판단, 전날 서울중앙지법에 체포영장을 청구해 발부 받았다.
다만 체포영장 유효기간이 오는 7일까지인 만큼 특검은 이른 시일 내 재집행에 나설 것으로 보인다.
