【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국수력원자력(주) 월성원자력본부(본부장 정원호)는 지역 상생과 주민 삶의 질 향상을 위한 ‘2026년도 한수원 지원사업’ 공모를 8월 5일부터 9월 4일까지 31일간 진행한다고 밝혔다.

‘한수원 지원사업’은 「발전소 주변지역 지원에 관한 법률」에 따라 교육·장학, 지역경제, 환경개선, 복지증진, 문화진흥 등 5개 분야에서 추진되며, 발전소 주변 지역 주민들의 다양한 수요를 반영한 사업 발굴을 목표로 한다.
공모는 지역기관, 단체, 지자체 등을 대상으로 하며, 월성원자력본부 홈페이지의 온라인공모 전용사이트 또는 방문·우편을 통한 오프라인 접수 방식으로 신청할 수 있다. 방문접수는 월성원자력 스포츠센터 1층 접수처에서 가능하다.
또한 주민들의 사업 이해도를 높이고 참여를 독려하기 위해 오는 12일 오후 2시, 월성원자력본부 홍보관 대강당에서 공모 설명회도 열릴 예정이다.
공모에 필요한 공고문, 신청 방법 및 서류 양식 등은 월성원자력본부 홈페이지(www.khnp.co.kr/wolsong/index.do) 공지사항에서 확인 가능하며, 공모 승인을 받지 않은 사업은 지원 대상에서 제외된다.
정원호 본부장은 “지역과 함께하는 에너지 공기업으로서, 공정하고 투명한 절차를 통해 실질적으로 주민들에게 도움이 되는 사업을 적극 발굴하고 추진하겠다”고 말했다.

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) Wolseong Nuclear Power Plant Headquarters (CEO Won-ho Jeong) announced that it will be holding an application for the "2026 KHNP Support Project" for 31 days, from August 5 to September 4, to promote regional coexistence and improve the quality of life for residents.
The "KHNP Support Project" is implemented in five areas: education and scholarships, local economy, environmental improvement, welfare promotion, and cultural promotion, in accordance with the Act on Support for Areas Surrounding Power Plants. It aims to identify projects that reflect the diverse needs of residents living in areas surrounding power plants.
The application is open to local organizations, groups, and local governments. Applications can be submitted online through the dedicated application website of the Wolseong Nuclear Power Plant Headquarters website or offline via in-person or mail. In-person applications can be submitted at the reception desk on the first floor of the Wolseong Nuclear Power Plant Sports Center.
To increase residents' understanding of the project and encourage participation, a public information session will be held at 2:00 PM on the 12th in the main auditorium of the Wolseong Nuclear Power Plant Headquarters Public Relations Center.
