【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=한국사학진흥재단(이사장 이하운)과 대구정책연구원(원장 박양호)이 ‘한국형 대학 연계 은퇴자 공동체(UBRC) 추진 방향’을 주제로 공동세미나를 개최했다.
지난 6일 오후 2시, 대구정책연구원 대회의실에서 열린 이번 세미나는 지난 5월 양 기관이 체결한 업무협약에 따른 첫 협력 과제다.
UBRC는 'University-Based Retirement Community'의 약자로, 고령자들이 대학 캠퍼스 내 또는 인근에 거주하며 대학의 교육, 건강관리 등 다양한 서비스를 지원받는 모델이다.
대학이 청년만의 공간이 아닌 전 생애주기적 관점에서 지역사회와 소통하는 거점이 돼야 한다는 인식 아래 마련된 세미나는 세 개의 주제 발표와 종합토론으로 구성됐다.
첫 번째 발제자로 나선 고영호 건축공간연구원 연구위원은 UBRC의 기본 개념과 해외 운영 사례를 소개하며 모델에 대한 이해를 높였다.
이어 권영섭 국토연구원 명예연구위원은 정부 공약과 연계한 실천 방안을 제안했으며, 문재성 한국사학진흥재단 고등교육재정회계본부장은 UBRC 도입을 위한 대학 유휴시설 관련 규제 개선 필요성을 짚었다.
종합토론은 강병수 충남대학교 명예교수가 좌장을 맡았다. 김성수 경북대 교수, 박현정 대구정책연구원 연구위원, 윤경훈 류쓰케이자이대 교수, 김세율 건국대 부동산학과 학술연구 교수, 차명돈 한국사학진흥재단 교육환경개선본부장이 참여해 한국형 UBRC의 도입 가능성과 과제를 논의했다.
이하운 이사장은 축사를 통해 “이번 세미나가 한국형 UBRC의 실질적 해답을 찾는 계기가 되기를 바란다”며 “대학은 유휴시설을 활용해 재정수입을 늘리고, 지역 주민은 대학 시설을 이용해 삶의 만족도를 높일 수 있는 선순환이 기대된다”고 말했다.

People Power Party leadership candidate Ahn Cheol-soo held a press conference at the party's Daegu branch on the morning of the 7th and stated, "The party must first secure trust before it can launch a full-scale struggle against the ruling party."

Regarding the personnel reshuffle recently discussed within the party, Candidate Ahn explained, "From the outset, it's not about a personnel purge, but rather about personnel reshuffle, appropriate apologies, and punishments."
He said, "We need to create objective, fact-based evidence through the white paper, and recruit talent based on that evidence. If we can elect even one more local council member or local government head in next year's local elections, we can regain power through their organizational power."
He added, "The standard this time is to consider who can win even one more election."
Candidate Ahn presented a clear counterargument to some within the party's opposition to impeachment. He emphasized, "The Constitutional Court ruled unanimously, and adhering to that ruling is a core conservative value, the rule of law."
"Isn't it true that a party that values the rule of law is different from a progressive party?" He added, "Opposing impeachment means denying the Constitutional Court's ruling, which violates the rule of law and therefore is incompatible with conservative values."
He also expressed concern, saying, "If such people enter, rather than unite with the rule of law, it will only create conflict. For the sake of those 5%, over 20% of reasonable conservatives will be lost. If we accept them for the sake of unity, it will actually shrink."
Regarding the special investigation of First Lady Kim Kun-hee, he said, "As a former president and his wife, isn't it basic courtesy for the people to diligently and with dignity participate in the investigation?"
Regarding the results of the primary, Ahn stated, "In golf and elections, if you raise your head first, you lose," and added, "I will humbly accept the decisions of the citizens and party members."
Meanwhile, regarding his visit to the Daegu regional party chapter, Ahn explained, "I am trying to contact them if possible. However, due to the filibuster, everyone except for the Daegu district lawmakers is at the National Assembly headquarters, so it's difficult to meet them."
