명물이지만 역시 사람에 치인다. 밀라노, 로마 그래서 지양한다.

대성당은 완공하는 데 거의 600년이 걸렸다.
건축은 1386년에 시작되었고 최종 세부 사항은 1965년에 완료되었다.
이 대성당은 이탈리아 공화국에서 가장 큰 교회다.
더 큰 성 베드로 대성당은 주권 국가인 바티칸 시국에 있으며 세계에서 가장 큰 교회 중 하나다.
