브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 정부가 소상공인의 공과금과 4대 보험료를 지원하는 ‘부담경감 크레딧’의 사용 범위를 확대했다.
건물 관리비에 공과금이 포함돼 기존 제도를 활용하지 못했던 집합 건물 입주 소상공인들의 지적을 수용, 사용범위가 늘어나며 크레딧을 다 쓰지 못하고 소멸되는 사례가 줄어들 것으로 전망된다.
앞서 중소벤처기업부(중기부)는 지난 6일 부담경감 크레딧 사용처를 기존 7개에서 9개로 늘린다고 발표했다.
이에 따라 11일부터 전기·가스·수도 요금, 국민연금, 건강보험, 고용보험, 산재보험 납부뿐 아니라, 통신비(전화·인터넷 요금)와 유류비(전기·가스·휘발유·경유·수소 등) 결제에도 크레딧을 사용할 수 있다.
이는 집합 건물 입주 소상공인들이 공과금 계약이 관리단 명의로 돼 있어 크레딧을 직접 납부에 쓸 수 없다는 지적에 따라 중기부는 이를 보완하고 현장 수요가 높은 항목을 반영해 사용처를 확대한 것이다.
황영호 중기부 소상공인경영안정지원단장은 “사용처가 제한적이라는 지적이 있어 이번 확대를 추진했다”며 “사각지대에 있는 소상공인들도 혜택을 폭넓게 누릴 수 있을 것”이라고 말했다.
한편, 부담경감 크레딧은 소상공인 지원 3종 세트인 '비즈 플러스 카드', '부담경감 크레딧', '배달·택배비 지원' 사업 중 하나로, 총 1조5660억 원의 예산이 투입된 신규 사업이다.
연매출 3억원이하 소상공인이 본인 명의 신용·체크·선불카드로 대상 항목을 결제하면 50만 원 한도 내에서 포인트가 자동 차감된다. 다만 기업카드, 일부 특수카드, 화물유가보조금(스타트럭)카드 등은 대상에서 제외되며, 결제는 일시불만 가능하다.
