【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항해경(서장 이근안)이 각종 안전사고 위험성이 높은 해양레저 활동이 집중되는 여름 성수기를 맞아 지난8월 8일부터 9일까지 이틀간 관할 주요 해수욕장과 해안가에서 해양 안전질서 위해 불법행위에 대한 일제 검문검색을 실시했다고 11일 밝혔다.

그 결과 ▲무등록 수상레저사업장 1곳, ▲무면허 조종 1명, ▲ 수상레저사업장 기구 변경등록 위반 1곳, ▲ 안전장비 미착용 1명 등 총 4건의 위반사항을 적발했다.

무등록 수상레저사업장의 경우 구조장비와 전문 구조인력이 없어 사고 위험이 크고, 보험에 가입하지 않아 사고 시 적절한 피해보상을 받지 못하는등불이익을 입을 수 있으며, 무면허 조종은 조종 미숙 등으로 곧바로 인명사고로이어질 수 있는 위험천만한 위법행위이다.

이근안 포항해양경찰서장은 “해양레저활동시 안전이 경시될 경우 자신 뿐 아니라 타인의 인명까지 위험할 수 있음을 명심하고, 수상레저사업장 이용할 때 업체 등록 여부와 보험 가입 여부를 반드시 확인하고 이용해 줄 것”을 강조하며, “앞으로도 여름철 주말 휴일을 중심으로 해양인명사고예방을 위해 안전을 위해하는 해양레저 위법행위에 대해 엄정하게 단속해 나갈 예정이다 ”라고 전했다.
