브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= DL건설이 지난 8일 의정부 신곡동 아파트 현장에서 발생한 근로자 추락 사고와 관련, 대표이사를 비롯한 임원진 전원이 사고 책임을 지고 일괄 사표를 제출했다.
또한 11일 이후 DL건설과 모회사 DL이앤씨의 모든 현장의 공사를 중단하고 긴급 안전 점검에 돌입한다고 밝혔다. 공사가 멈춘 현장은 DL건설이 총 44곳이며 DL이앤씨 현장은 80여곳이다.
DL건설은 입장문을 통해 "이번 사고로 안타깝게 유명을 달리하신 고인께 깊고도 무거운 애도의 뜻을 표하고, 유가족분들께도 진심으로 사죄의 말씀을 드린다"며 "사고 직후 모든 현장의 작업을 즉시 중지하고, 전사적으로 긴급 안전점검을 실시해 안전이 확실하게 확인되기 전까지는 작업 중지를 해제하지 않을 것"이라고 전했다.
이어 "안전체계에 대한 확신을 이루어 내기 위해 대표이사 이하 전 임원, 팀장, 현장소장은 보직을 걸고 현장 안전을 위한 업무에 임할 것"이라며 "사즉생의 각오와 회사의 명운을 걸고 반드시 안전한 현장을 만들겠다"고 설명했다.
임원진 일괄 사표는 이같은 의지에 따라 자발적으로 동참한 것이라고 부연했다. 일괄 사표는 대표이사와 CSO(최고안전책임자)를 포함한 전 임원, 팀장, 현장소장 등이 참여했다.
한편, DL건설은 지난 8일 경기도 의정부시 신곡동의 아파트 신축 공사 현장에서 50대 근로자가 약 6층 높이에서 추락해 사망하는 사고가 발생했다.
이재명 대통령은 지난 9일 이 사고에 대한 보고를 받고선 "앞으로 모든 산재 사망사고는 최대한 빠르게 대통령에게 직보하라"고 지시하기도 했다.

DL Construction Halts Nationwide Construction Sites Following Fall Deaths of Workers
