(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부평구가 14일 구청에서 ‘부개·일신지구 뉴빌리지 도시재생활성화지역 지구단위계획 수립 용역’ 착수보고회를 개최했다.
부평구에 따르면, 부개1동과 일신동 일대의 뉴빌리지 사업과 관련한 이번 보고회에는 차준택 구청장과 구의원, 관계 공무원 등 20명이 참석해 용역사의 과업 계획을 듣고 수립 방향에 대한 의견을 나눴다.
이와 관련, 부평구는 지구단위계획 수립을 통해 단독·연립·다세대주택의 도시·건축 규제 완화, 마분공원 도시계획시설 중복결정을 통한 공원복합시설 건립, 도로포장, 감시장비(CCTV), 안심골목길 조성 등을 추진할 방침이다.
국토교통부가 주관하는 ‘뉴빌리지 사업’은 노후 단독 주택과 빌라 밀집 지역 등 저층 주거지역에서 민간이 주택을 정비할 경우, 금융·제도적 혜택 및 공공 기반·편의시설 설치를 종합적으로 지원하는 도시재생사업이다.
앞서 지난해 12월 부개1동과 일신동 일대 면적 약 9만5천 제곱미터(㎡)의 부개·일신지구가 ‘뉴빌리지 사업’ 대상지로 선정됐다.
부평구는 내년 상반기까지 주민공청회, 구의회 의견 청취, 인천광역시 도시재생위원회 심의를 거쳐 내년 7월 도시재생활성화계획 및 지구단위계획 수립 고시를 목표로 사업을 진행할 예정이다.
차준택 구청장은 “그간 아파트 위주의 개발사업에서 소외됐던 부개·일신동 노후 저층 주거지에 정주 환경 개선이 원활히 이루어질 수 있도록, 제도적 지원을 사업 취지에 맞게 잘 진행해주기 바란다”며 “해당 사업 대상지가 두 개 동이 같이 포함돼 있는 만큼 계획을 수립하는 과정에서 각 동의 주민 의견을 충분히 수렴하여 추진하도록 할 것”을 당부했다.
