[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 홍태용 시장이 14일 국민체육진흥공단을 방문해 2026년도 공공체육시설 개보수 사업의 국비 지원을 논의했다.
홍 시장은 하형주 공단 이사장을 만나 체육시설 노후화 현황과 시민 이용 실태를 설명하며 국민체육진흥기금 지원 확대와 장기적 협력 체계 구축의 필요성을 거듭 강조했다.
김해시는 문화체육관광부가 주관하는 2026년도 공공체육시설 개보수 사업에 8개소 총사업비 40억1,600만원을 신청했으며, 이 중 국민체육진흥기금 국비 지원분은 18억4,000만 원이며 나머지는 김해시가 지원한다.
김해시는 연간 20만명이 이용하는 장유스포츠센터 수영장 전면 리모델링과 여과시설 교체, 전국생활체육대회가 가능한 삼계 시민체육공원 게이트볼장 지붕 교체와 벽면 정비, 2026년 개최되는 생활체육대축전에 대비한 김해실내체육관 승강기 설치 등을 비롯해 체육시설 안전설비 개선, 구조 보강, 편의시설 확충 등을 추진하고자 한다.
