(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천해양경찰서가 19일, 영종도 인근 해상에서 조업 중이던 어선에 승선해 있던 불법체류 외국인 선원 2명을 검거했다고 밝혔다.

하늘바다파출소 경찰관들이 이들의 체류기간을 확인하자 기간이 만료된 것으로 확인돼 출입국관리법 위반 혐의로 검거한 후 출입국외국인청으로 인계했다.
인천해경은 최근 소규모 어선에서 일손 부족과 높은 인건비로 불법체류 외국인 선원을 고용하는 사례가 잦은 것으로 보고 있다.
