제천국제음악영화제는 한국 영화음악의 예술적 성취에 주목하며, 기성 영화음악가들의 창작 세계를 조명하고자 올해 처음 영화음악 경쟁 섹션인 ‘뮤직인사이트’를 신설했다. 2024년 1월 이후 제작된 한국 장편영화를 대상으로 하며, 본심에 진출한 작품들 가운데 1편의 영화음악가에게는 상금 2천만 원과 상패를 수여한다.
