<August 20, 2025. Paris> — Filmmaker Young Man Kang’s Prayer International Series continues to earn international acclaim with its 17th episode, Prayer Marseille, which received the Best Director Award with the prestigious “Napoleon Golden Horse” trophy in the Best Mobile Short Film category at the Champs-Élysées Film Awards 2025.
Prayer Marseille is now available to watch on YouTube. This latest installment was produced by YMK Films and Hollywood Series Corp. (USA), in collaboration with France’s Ad Aeternam Productions and TamTam Stories.
TamTam Stories’ executive producer, Jean-Michel Albert—renowned for producing numerous films and TV series and the founder of the Marseille Webfest (2011)—helped bring the project together. Through Albert, director Young Man Kang connected with French co-producers David Schenk-Keusseyan and Laurent Lafond of Ad Aeternam Productions, turning this cross-cultural collaboration into reality.
Prayer Marseille features an exceptional French cast, including Anysia Deprele, Cédrik Belabbas, Lucien Lerda, Milan Marangone, Valérie Belou, Sidney Cabot Sambosi, and Marie Gueit. The film showcases iconic Marseille locations such as the Old Port, Église Notre Dame du Mont, and Le Bar de la Marina—a beloved filming spot also featured in the final scene of Love Actually.

The Story:
In the picturesque city of Marseille, aspiring actress Camille Moreau (Anysia Deprele) and her husband Luc Dupont (Cédrik Belabbas) struggle with career and personal challenges. After Camille loses a coveted role due to industry corruption, she contemplates leaving for Paris or Hollywood. But when Luc unexpectedly secures the role and encourages her to stay, Camille confronts her doubts. A powerful confrontation followed by a visit to a local church restores her faith and strengthens her resolve to continue their journey together despite life’s obstacles.
Reflecting on the production, Young Man Kang shared:
“I’m so happy to receive this award from one of the film festivals in Paris. It was a pleasure to collaborate with such a talented French team. This is my first co-production with France, and I look forward to producing more episodes in other beautiful cities like Paris, Vichy, Mont Saint-Michel, and Auvers-sur-Oise.”
Co-producer Laurent Lafond has already suggested a future episode, Prayer Vichy, while Jean-Michel Albertmentioned the possibility of Prayer Tahiti.
