【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=선린대학교(총장 곽진환)는 19일, 2025년도 하반기 경상북도교육청연수원 특수분야 연수기관으로 11년 연속 지정 승인을 받았다고 밝혔다.

이번 지정은 경북 지역 유·초·중등 교원과 교육 전문직원을 대상으로 응급처치 능력 향상을 위한 교육을 실시하는 기관임을 공식 인정받은 결과다. 교육 내용에는 심폐소생술 실습, 자동제세동기(AED) 사용법, 기도폐쇄 처치법, 응급의료 관련 법령 등이 포함된다.
지정 과정에서는 선린대 재난안전공유협업센터의 교육시설, 전문 강사진, 실습 기자재 등이 서면 심사를 거쳐 평가됐다. 센터장인 김병용 응급구조과 교수는 “선린대학교의 정신인 ‘선한 사마리아인’의 봉사 정신을 바탕으로, 누구나 응급상황에 대처할 수 있는 능력을 갖출 수 있도록 교육의 중요성을 널리 알리겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 재난안전공유협업센터는 국내외 응급·재난 교육 인증을 다수 보유하며 전문 교육기관으로 자리매김하고 있다. 주요 프로그램으로는 NAEMT 병원전 외상소생술(PHTLS), AMA 국가재난응급의료전문가 교육과정(BDLS), 한국형 기본소생술(KBLS), 기본소생술(BLS), 전문심장소생술(ACLS), 한국전문소생술(KALS) 등이 있다.
선린대학교는 이번 지정을 계기로 교직원 응급처치 역량 강화와 재난 안전 교육 전문기관으로서의 위상을 더욱 공고히 할 계획이다.

Sunlin University (President Kwak Jin-hwan) announced on the 19th that it has been approved as a Specialized Training Institution by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Office of Education for the second half of 2025, for the 11th consecutive year.
This designation officially recognizes Sunlin University as an institution that provides training to improve emergency response skills for teachers and educational professionals at kindergartens, elementary, and middle schools in the Gyeongbuk region. Training content includes CPR training, automated external defibrillator (AED) use, airway obstruction treatment, and emergency medical laws and regulations.
The designation process included a written evaluation of Sunlin University's Disaster and Safety Sharing and Collaboration Center's educational facilities, professional instructors, and training equipment. Center Director Kim Byeong-yong, a professor in the Department of Emergency Medical Services, stated, "Based on Sunlin University's ethos of 'Good Samaritan' service, we will widely promote the importance of education so that anyone can develop the skills to respond to emergencies."
Meanwhile, the Disaster and Safety Sharing and Collaboration Center holds numerous domestic and international emergency and disaster training certifications, establishing itself as a specialized training institution. Key programs include the NAEMT Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), the AMA National Disaster and Emergency Medical Specialist Training Course (BDLS), Korean Basic Life Support (KBLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Korean Advanced Life Support (KALS).
Sunlin University plans to capitalize on this designation to strengthen its faculty and staff's emergency response capabilities and further solidify its position as a specialized disaster and safety training institution.
