파주시 중앙도서관은 8월부터 10월까지 1층 커뮤니티실에서 ‘휴먼 인 파주’ 19번째 전시인 ‘정직한 발끝으로 달린 축구인생’을 열고 있다.

이번 전시는 60년 넘게 축구인으로 살아온 전태성 파주시 80대 축구단 단장의 발자취를 조명한다.
전태성 단장은 1968년 파주로 이주해 지역 축구 발전에 힘써왔다.
연풍초등학교와 파주공업고등학교 등에서 유소년을 지도하며 지도력을 인정받았으며, 1992년 제38회 경기도체육대회에서는 파주군 대표팀 감독으로 출전해 3연패를 이끌었으며 이후 경기도 축구협회 기술위원장을 역임했고, 파주시 60대·70대·80대 축구단을 창단하는 등 노년 축구 기반 마련에도 기여했다.
현재는 80대 축구단 단장으로 활동하며 2023년과 2024년 유관순배 전국 OB축구대회 2연패를 달성했고, 3연패를 목표로 활동을 이어가고 있다.
전시에서는 시민채록단이 구술 채록한 전 단장의 생애사와 축구 관련 자료, 사진 등이 공개된다.
미디어 기록동아리 ‘파주씨네’가 제작한 영상도 함께 상영돼 지역 스포츠사와 공동체의 의미를 돌아볼 수 있다.
임봉성 중앙도서관장은 “지역 원로들의 이야기를 기록하고 공유함으로써 지역 정체성과 생활사를 지켜나가고자 한다”며 “앞으로도 시민들과 함께 구술 채록과 기록 보관을 이어가 파주의 기억을 체계적으로 축적할 것”이라고 말했다.

Im Bong-seong, director of the Central Library, stated, "By recording and sharing the stories of local elders, we aim to preserve the local identity and history of life. We will continue to work with citizens to systematically collect oral histories and archives to systematically accumulate the memories of Paju."
