브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 네이버클라우드(대표 김유원)와 서울대학교(총장 유홍림)는 소버린 AI 기술 발전과 관련 생태계 조성을 촉진하고, 연구 및 인재 양성을 위한 협력 체계를 구축하기 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 21일 밝혔다.
이들 기관은 업무협약을 통해 ▲소버린 AI 관련 공동연구 및 기술개발 ▲AI 분야 인재 양성을 위한 교육 프로그램 개발·운영 ▲AI 인력 간 기술 교류 ▲실증 프로젝트·파일럿 사업 공동 수행 등 다양한 분야에서 협력할 계획이다.
서울대학교는 이를 위해 학문적 기반과 연구 인프라를 제공하고, 네이버클라우드는 산업 현장의 실증 역량과 기술 노하우를 지원할 예정이다.
네이버클라우드는 이번 협력을 통해 소버린 AI의 기술 경쟁력이 한층 강화될 것으로 기대한다고 밝혔다. 첨단 AI기술의 개발과 상용화를 가속화하고, 정책·제도 개선에도 기여한다는 계획이다. 또한 공동 교육 프로그램과 인력 교류를 통해 차세대 AI 전문가를 양성하고, 국내AI 생태계 전반의 지속가능한 발전을 촉진하는 기반을 마련할 예정이다.

Naver Cloud and Seoul National University Sign MOU for Sovereign AI and Talent Development
