더불어민주당 백승아 원내대변인은 8월 22일(금) 오전 9시 50분 국회 소통관 기자회견장에서 기자회견을 통해 “특검의 ‘계엄 해제 의결 방해’ 의혹 수사를 위한 국회사무처 압수수색 영장에 추경호 전 국민의힘 원내대표가 ‘피의자’로 적시된 사실이 밝혀졌다”며, “‘피의자’ 추경호 국민의 힘 전 원내대표는 더 이상 숨지 말고, 진실을 밝히라”고 촉구했다.
백승아 대변인은 “추 전 원내대표는 (12.3계엄 당시) 의총 장소를 수차례 번복하고 본회의 연기를 의장에게 요청하는 등 국민의힘 의원들의 국회 계엄 해제 표결 참여를 방해했다”며, “국민들께서 똑똑히 기억하고 있다”고 상기시켰다.
