이번 축제는 청정 영양의 밤하늘과 반딧불이를 직접 체험하며 친환경 문화를 즐길 수 있는 프로그램으로 구성돼 지역을 대표하는 자연 친화형 행사로 자리잡고 있다.
축제 전날인 29일 저녁 7시 30분부터 8시 30분까지는 반딧불이 탐방로를 따라 늦반딧불이 서식지를 탐사하고 은하수를 관찰하는 ‘반딧불이 탐사 프로그램’이 진행된다. 본행사인 30일에는 밤하늘보호공원 내 천문대 일원에서 저글링·버블쇼 공연, 밤하늘 OX퀴즈, 친환경 소품 만들기 체험, 재즈 콘서트 등 다양한 즐길 거리가 마련된다.
특히 에코 체험존에서는 비누 만들기, 천연 방향제 원데이 클래스와 함께 지역 소상공인과 창작자가 운영하는 참여형 플리마켓도 운영된다.
오도창 영양군수는 “인공의 빛을 벗어나 별과 반딧불이가 선사하는 자연의 빛 속에서 방문객들이 아름다운 추억을 만들길 바란다”며 “방문객들이 불편함 없이 자연을 즐기고 휴식을 취할 수 있도록 최선을 다해 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
이번 별빛 반딧불이 체험 축제는 자연과 친환경 체험을 동시에 즐길 수 있는 기회로, 가족 단위 관광객과 지역 주민들의 관심이 집중될 전망이다.
