올해 대회에는 전국 731팀이 지원해 예선을 거친 11팀이 본선에 진출했으며, 대상의 영예는 ‘관상타령’을 열창한 장현욱(경기) 씨에게 돌아가 상금 3천만 원을 수상했다. 금상은 김현진(부산), 은상 신현지(서울), 동상 송권웅(서울), 인기상은 장혜진(문경)에게 각각 돌아갔다.
장현욱 씨는 故 장민 씨의 아들로, 아버지의 음악적 재능을 이어받아 자신만의 색깔로 관객과 소통하며 깊은 인상을 남겼다. 인기상을 수상한 장혜진 양은 문경 출신 초등학생으로, 짧은 활동 기간에도 탁월한 가창력을 선보이며 차세대 트롯 유망주로 주목받았다.
이번 가요제에는 제2회 대상 수상자 윤진우, 인기상 수상자이자 문경홍보대사 윤윤서, 현역가왕 우승자 전유진, 트롯 슈퍼스타 박지현 등 축하 공연도 이어져 무대의 열기를 더했다. 1·2부 경연 후 진행된 합동 무대와 ‘문경역에서’ 퍼포먼스, 미디어 공연 등은 관객들의 뜨거운 박수를 받았다.
또한 현장 모바일 투표에는 1천 1백여 명이 참여했고, 지역 특산품 판매 부스 운영으로 타지역 관람객이 문경의 맛과 멋을 체험할 수 있는 기회도 마련됐다.
신현국 문경시장은 “문경트롯가요제는 이제 단순 경연을 넘어 전국이 주목하는 문화축제로 자리매김했다”며 “앞으로도 명품 가요제로 발전시켜 시민과 관광객 모두가 행복을 누릴 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
제3회 문경트롯가요제 본선 무대는 오는 9월 6일 안동MBC를 통해 특별 방송될 예정이다.

The joint performances, "At Mungyeong Station," and media performances following the first and second rounds of competitions garnered enthusiastic applause from the audience.
More than 1,100 people participated in the on-site mobile voting, and local specialty product sales booths provided visitors from other regions with an opportunity to experience the flavors and charm of Mungyeong.
