계양구에 따르면, 효성동우회(회장 임중호) 주관으로 열린 이날 제례에는 주민 50여 명이 참석해 전통문화를 함께 나누고, 지역공동체의 화합을 다지는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다.
효성동 도당제는 매년 음력 7월 1일과 10월 1일 두 차례 개최되며, 전통문화 복원과 세대 간 전승을 통해 구민의 자긍심을 높이고 지역 정체성 확립에 기여하고 있다.

또한, 계양구가 오는 9월 1일부터 10월 31일까지 성숙한 반려동물 문화 정착과 유실·유기동물 예방을 위해 ‘2025년 제2차 동물등록 자진신고기간’을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
계양구에 따르면, 동물보호법에 따라 반려 목적으로 기르는 2개월령 이상의 개는 의무 등록 대상이며, 현재 시범사업 운영 중인 고양이는 의무 대상이 아니다.
동물등록은 내장형(칩)과 외장형(목걸이) 2가지 방식으로 진행된다.
