【브레이크뉴스 영덕】박영재 기자=여름의 끝자락, 동해안 최장의 백사장이 펼쳐진 영덕 고래불 권역에서 낭만 가득한 밤바다 트레킹 축제가 열린다. 영덕군은 오는 30일 토요일 ‘2025 달빛고래트레킹’ 행사를 개최한다고 26일 밝혔다.

올해로 2회째를 맞는 이번 행사는 영덕 블루로드 야간 관광 활성화를 위해 기획된 프로그램으로, 고래불 해변의 달빛과 어선 집어등을 배경으로 걷는 특별한 체험을 선사한다.
행사는 가족 코스(4km)와 일반 코스(7km) 두 구간으로 진행된다. 두 코스 모두 영리해수욕장에서 출발하며, 가족 코스는 평탄한 데크길과 백사장을 따라 아이들과 함께 걷기 좋다. 일반 코스는 덕천해수욕장과 상대산을 거쳐 대진해수욕장까지 이어지며 트레킹을 즐기는 참가자들에게 적합하다.
참가 접수는 당일 오후 5시부터 7시까지 현장에서 진행된다. 일반 코스는 안전을 고려해 오후 5시 30분 이전 출발해야 하며, 6시 30분 이후에는 상대산 입산이 제한된다. 참가자에게는 신발주머니와 생수가 제공되며, 스탬프 완주 인증 시 추첨을 통해 기념품을 받을 수 있다. 또 행사 당일 지역에서 1만 원 이상 소비한 영수증을 지참하면 영덕 수제맥주와 음료 할인권도 받을 수 있다(선착순 1,000명).

행사 마지막에는 가수 황가람과 KCM이 무대에 올라 감성 공연으로 축제의 대미를 장식한다.
영덕군 관계자는 “올해는 셔틀버스 운행을 대폭 늘리고 안전요원을 2배 배치해 참가자들이 더욱 편리하고 안전하게 축제를 즐길 수 있도록 준비했다”고 밝혔다.
