【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구섬유박물관이 오는 31일까지 3일간 전통 세시풍속인 칠석을 맞아 '별을 잇는 날, 칠석' 행사를 진행한다.
이번 행사에서는 전통의 의미를 되새기며 아이부터 성인에 이르기까지 누구나 즐길 수 있는 체험프로그램이 운영된다.
'이야기할머니가 들려주는 견우와 직녀' 동화구연, 여러 가지 색실을 엮어 만드는 직조팔찌 만들기, 재봉틀로 원단을 바느질해 꾸미는 '은하수 포토존' 만들기 등 오감으로 즐기는 체험이 마련되어 있다.
칠석은 음력 7월 7일 견우와 직녀가 오작교에서 다시 만난다는 전설에서 유래한 날로 예로부터 다양한 풍속이 전해져 왔다. 장마철 습기를 막기 위해 옷과 책을 햇볕에 말리는 '폭의'와 '폭서', 여성들이 바느질 솜씨가 늘기를 기원하는 '걸교', 그리고 밀전병을 나누고 가무를 즐기던 풍습이 대표적이다.
박물관 관계자는 "일 년에 단 하루 하늘의 별이 만나는 칠석을 맞아 가족과 연인, 친구들과 함께 아름다운 사랑의 전통을 체험하며 특별한 여름 추억을 남기시길 바란다"고 말했다.
체험은 지난 29일부터 31일까지 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지 현장 방문객 누구나 참여할 수 있다.
특히 지난 29일부터 30일까지는 대구텍스타일콤플렉스 1층에서 '2025 K-핸드메이드 人 대구 텍스타일' 행사가 열렸다.
이번 행사에는 지역 작가를 비롯해 전국 50여개 핸드메이드 팀이 참가하며 생활공예의 콜라보레이션을 주제로 '리빙' 이야기를 선보였다. 다양한 장르의 수공예 작품 전시와 함께 상품 구매도 가능해 시민과 방문객 모두에게 특별한 경험을 제공했다.
이와 함께 박물관에서는 어린이체험실 '조물조물 양모비누', 섬유창작소 '바다로 물들이는 향보자기', 어린이 연극교육 '꿈꾸는 태일이', 패션인문학 특별강연 '옷장 속 과학' 등 다채로운 프로그램도 함께 운영되고 있다.

Museum officials stated, "We hope you will create special summer memories by experiencing this beautiful tradition of love with your family, loved ones, and friends on Chilseok, the one day a year when the stars meet in the sky."
The experience was open to all visitors from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM from the 29th to the 31st.
Notably, the "2025 K-Handmade People Daegu Textile" event was held on the first floor of the Daegu Textile Complex from the 29th to the 30th.
This event featured over 50 handmade teams from across the country, including local artists, who presented "living" stories under the theme of collaboration in everyday crafts. The diverse display of handicrafts and the opportunity to purchase products provided a unique experience for both residents and visitors.
