(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 서구가 지난 26일 김교흥 국회 문화체육관광위원장 사무실을 방문하여 호우 피해 재난지원금 지원을 위한 국비를 확보해 줄 것을 건의했다고 밝혔다.

서구에 따르면, 지난 13~14일 이틀에 걸친 호우로 서구에서는 700여 가구가 주택침수 피해를 입었으며, 300여 소상공인의 영업자산이 침수되는 등 1,000여 건의 피해가 접수됐다. 

침수 피해자에게 지급해야 할 재난지원금은 40억 원에 달할 것으로 예상된다.

행정안전부에서 호우 피해 복구를 위해 인천시에 재난 안전 특별교부세 25억 원을 지원할 예정이지만, 이는 공공시설 재해복구를 위한 금액이다. 

이는 구민에게 직접 지급되는 재난지원금으로는 사용할 수 없어 추가적으로 국비 확보가 절실한 상황이라고 구는 설명했다.

김교흥 국회의원은 “갑작스러운 호우로 피해를 입은 구민들이 일상으로 원활히 복귀하고, 서구의 재정 부담을 덜 수 있도록 재난지원금 국비 예산 확보에 최선을 다하겠다”며 적극적인 모습을 보였다.

강범석 서구청장은 “협조를 약속해 주신 김교흥 국회의원께 감사드리며, 집중호우로 피해를 본 구민들이 신속하게 일상에 복귀할 수 있도록 수습에 전력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
