[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 국가유산청 공모사업에 4년 연속 선정된 대표 문화행사인 ‘2025 진주 국가유산 야행’을 오는 29일부터 31일까지 진주성 일원에서 개최한다고 27일 밝혔다.
이번 공모사업 선정은 진주성이 보유한 풍부한 유형·무형의 국가유산을 체계적으로 정리하고, 이를 창의적이고 몰입도 높은 문화 콘텐츠로 구현해낸 점이 높이 평가된 결과다.
올해 야행은 ‘화력조선, 진주성 총통의 기억’을 주제로 조선시대 병기 총통과 병마절도사의 활약상을 퍼포먼스와 체험으로 구성해 관람객의 몰입도를 높일 예정이다.
개막식은 29일 오후 7시 30분, 진주성 내 김시민 장군 동상 앞 특설무대에서 열리며, 다양한 무대 공연과 개막 퍼포먼스로 화려한 시작을 알릴 예정이다.
야행은 ‘8야(夜)’ 테마로 구성돼 야경, 야로, 야사, 야화, 야설, 야식, 야시, 야숙 등 총 30여 개의 프로그램이 3일간 진주성 일대를 수놓는다.
주요 프로그램으로는 진주실크길 재현, 어린이 수성군 체험, 진주성 총통 시연, 교방예인 그림 시연, 저잣거리 야시장, 성안 플리마켓 등 다채로운 문화 콘텐츠가 마련된다.
이번 야행은 국가유산 미디어아트 진주성과 연계돼 야간 콘텐츠를 한층 풍성하게 제공하며, 야간 관광의 중심 도시로서 진주의 가능성을 보여줄 예정이다.
국가유산 미디어아트 진주성은 지난 15일 개막 이후 10일간 12만명이 넘는 관람객이 다녀가는 등 큰 호응을 얻고 있으며, 오는 9월 7일까지 진주성에서 이어진다.
