사무실 하나 없이 시작했던 진주시사회복지협의회가 지역사회의 지지와 복지인들의 헌신 덕분에 어느덧 20년의 시간을 맞이하게 되었고, 이는 진주라는 지역에 대한 사랑과 공동체 정신이 만들어낸 값진 결실이라고 생각합니다.
⯅ 초창기와 지금, 가장 달라진 점과 가장 자랑스러운 점은?
초기엔 단체회원도 적고 상근 인력도 없었지만 지금은 복지기관과의 협력이 활성화되며 자원을 연계하고 조정하는 플랫폼으로 성장했으며, 변함없이 사람 중심의 철학을 지켜온 것이 가장 자랑스럽습니다.

사회복지에 관한 조사와 정책 건의, 사회복지 기관 연계·협력, 복지사각지대 발굴, 천년사랑 천사운동, 좋은이웃들 사업, 종사자 교육, 자원봉사 활성화 등 민간 복지 자원을 연결하는 플랫폼으로서 실질적인 지역 복지 실천을 이어가고 있습니다.

급변하는 복지환경 속에서 협의회가 지속 가능한 복지 생태계를 주도하고, 지역 통합돌봄과 정책 제안, 인재 양성 등 새로운 과제를 선도하는 핵심 조직으로 발전하길 기대하고 있습니다.
