(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남도는 오는 9월 19일부터 3일간 해남과 진도 울돌목 일원(명량대첩 승전지)에서 열리는 2025 명량대첩축제를 세계적 해양문화축제로 안전하게 치르기 위해 28일 도청에서 추진상황 보고회를 열었다.
보고회는 총감독의 개막식과 다양한 프로그램 등 공식행사 연출계획 보고에 이어 축제 전문가들의 토론과 질의 답변 순으로 진행됐다. 또 도민이 참여하는 출정 퍼레이드와 프로그램, 행사 운영 진행 상황을 세밀히 확인했다,
올해로 17회째인 명량대첩축제는 명실상부한 호남의 대표적인 해양문화축제다. 개막식은 해남 우수영관광지에서 열린다. 최초로 주무대를 해상 앞에서 보다 안전하고 폭넓은 우수영 술래마당으로 옮겨 판옥선 형태의 주무대를 구현하며 실감나는 주제공연을 선보일 예정이다.
주제공연은 명량대첩 과정을 기승전결 스토리로 풀어내며 다채로운 장면을 최첨단 ICT 기술과 아크로바틱, 파이어웍스 등으로 생생하게 재현하게 된다.
또한 가족과 함께 때로는 나홀로 등 모든 관람객이 참여할 각종 체험 프로그램(해군 병영체험·이순신밥상·장군복 체험·명량어린이체험 등)과 지역 주민 등 400명이 참여하는 평화의 만가행렬, 트로트 가수 김태연이 출연하는 전남 청소년 트로트가요제, 수문장 교대식 등 다양한 문화공연 등을 선보일 계획이다.
보고회에선 또 축제장에서 발생할 수 있는 안전사고를 미연에 방지하기 위해 총 300명이 넘는 안전인력을 배치하며 무더위 방지 쉼터 등 편의시설 확충 방안도 논의했다.
김영록 지사는 “명량대첩축제가 충무공의 호국정신을 기리고, 전남의 문화 저력을 널리 알리는 세계적 해양문화축제가 되도록 남은 기간 안전관리 등에 최선을 다하길 바란다”고 당부했다.
전남도는 명량대첩축제 외에도 전남국제수묵비엔날레, 남도국제미식산업박람회와 국제농업박람회 등 메가이벤트를 잇따라 진행한다.
2025 전남국제수묵비엔날레는 29일 목포문화예술회관에서 개막한다. 국내외 귀빈과 도민이 함께 즐기는 축제의 장으로 치러질 예정이다. 개막식을 시작으로 30일부터 10월 31일까지 해남권(고산윤선도박물관·땅끝순례문학관), 진도권(소전미술관·남도전통미술관), 목포권(문화예술회관·실내체육관) 등 6개 전시관에서 20개국, 83명의 작가가 참여한다.
